On the plus side, the Asset Store window is working for me (in docked or undocked mode) in both 5.5 and 5.6. One of the reasons I'm testing 5.6 beta is that if I already have to change things to support 5.5, I'm wondering if I should just take the plunge and get ahead of the curve as I start my next project (the one I'm testing with is actually just a copy of some completed work, not active for future dev). Point being, don't read too much into the above because Unity folks may have already fixed it. ((( EDIT: The changelog for 5.5.1 has some fixed bugs that may help the above, but I've gotten busy on other work and haven't had time to test it yet. I haven't tried a 5.5 standalone build outside the editor yet. Playing in editor starts out very laggy but improves after a few seconds, almost as if it was still initializing something in a background thread for a while - and then it crashes. In 5.5 the scene view is incredibly sluggish for me, almost unusable. I was getting an acceptable 30~35 FPS on my Mac in full-screen run mode outside the editor. In 5.4, the editor was nice and snappy in scene view, though slow in play mode in editor. It's a large and complex scene for architectural rendering with a terrain outside. This is HP’s official website to download the correct drivers free of cost for Windows and Mac. So far 5.5.0 is causing me a lot of issues. Docks-Firmware and Driver (1) Download the latest drivers, firmware, and software for your HP USB-C Universal Dock. Add tabs to keep your applications, documents, music and folders. Running processes and all your drives are easily accessible. Use a keyboard shortcut or mouse hotspot to activate Dock. Working in the system toolbar it is almost invisible and always ready when you need it. Mac version definitely makes me less time efficient.I am pretesting 5.5.0f3 with a copy of my latest project, and I'm very glad of that word "copy" here. uDock 4.0.2 (40202) Dock is a lightweight system extension for your Mac. Storyline on Parallels for Mac is useable but still has a little way to go before it is as user friendly as a true Windows device.Īs a contractor, I often use the client's computer and license instead of my own, and when I do use their Windows computers I am reminded just how good it can be. I procrastinated long and hard between buying parallels (then windows for mac) or just buying a new laptop, But I didn't want to run two computers or give up on Mac, I also like the built in text to audio voices in Mac, which often have a place in some of my courses. I am pretty stubborn and really love my Mac. Takes some getting used to locating folders on the Mac through windows, necessary when all my images are on the Mac, Once I set up shortcuts it was ok.The app is available for both Mac and Windows, and you can use it to customize the look of your taskbar. TaskbarToDock is an extension for Windows that turns your desktop into a dock. Once again, I do all my Replay work on an old windows computer. Unlike the MacOS dock, this software is free and can be installed on as many PCs as the user wishes. Finally, for replay, the screen cast captures off centre. If using eyedropper for colour, you must stay within the windows screen, so you can't pick the colour up from a doc you have open in Mac.The control handles end up outside of the windows windows, so can not be grabbed to move or redock/minimize. I also have issues when I undock timeline/trigger etc windows. So I tend to do all my work on the mac, then use a usb to open the course on a windows computer to do the screen cast. so when recording a screencast with audio, it records the sound that comes out of the speakers first.
